My name is Julie Holland.  I've been working in finance since I left school, which makes it over 40 years!!

I've worked in various industries including manufacturing, logistics, pest control, commercial cleaning, remanufacturing, franchising, and software. 

I love a challenge at work, so creating order out of chaos is my mission when it comes to  all things bookkeeping. 


I have mentored team members, and implemented moves from server software systems to cloud based software.

I have spent the last 10 years as a Finance Manager, running finance deprtments, with teams and solo. This has given me practical experience with bank reconciliations, suppliers, customers, credit control, VAT returns, all HMRC compliance  (PAYE, NI, Pensions)and payroll. 

Since lockdown and being furloughed for much of the year in 2020, I decided to spend my time studying for an accredited certificate in bookkeeping. Since I had so much experience, but never qualified, it appeared a great direction for my time at home. 

So, Blu Bookkeeping was born.

The name Blu Bookkeeping came from my late Dad.  His nick- name for me was Blu, different to other family who shorten it to Ju!  so, it just seemed the logical name for my new business.
